Debit Card. With this card, you feel at ease without
the routine of ordering repurchase cheques or the
insecurity of carrying cash.

Your Visa Electron card is accepted by merchants
all over the world. You can use your card to pay for
virtually anything – dining in a restaurant, shopping,
hotels, everyday expenses, wherever you see the
VISA symbol.
It’s easy to use!
Your Visa Electron card is easy to use. All you have
to do is swipe the card at the payment counter and
either enter your personal identification number
(PIN) or sign the receipt. Every month you will
receive a Money Market Fund statement providing
the details of your transactions.

Q. Are there any fees associated with my VISA
card when I receive it?
A. Yes, there is an annual fee of $50.00 which is
debited from your account when you receive
your card and on each anniversary date. Also
there is a card replacement fee of $50.00 in the
event that your card is lost, stolen or damaged.
Q. Can I access Fund accounts other than my
Money Market Fund account?
A. No. The Unit Trust VISA Electron Debit Card is
only linked to the primary Money Market Fund
account that you choose.
Q. Can I use my card at ATMs?
A. Yes, at any ATM displaying the Visa/Plus
symbols/decals. However, a fee of TT $7.00 is
applied if you withdraw from local ATMs other
than those at UTC branches. If used at
international ATMs the fee is TT$20.00*.
Transactions are free at all Unit Trust ATMs.
Q. What are the daily card limits?
A. When you use your card at a merchant there is
a daily limit of TT$20,000. At ATMs the limit
is TT$3,000 daily or its US$ equivalent at ATMs
outside of Trinidad & Tobago.
Q. What should I do if my card is lost or stolen?
A. As soon as you discover your card is missing,
call (868) 671-8648, or come into any UTC
office and we will cancel your card.

Your Visa Electron card is safer to carry than cash or
travellers’ cheques. If your card is lost or stolen and
you notify us promptly, we will stop your card to
prevent any unauthorized use.
