TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION
SCHEDULE ‘A’
1.0
General:
The Trust proposes to install Four numbers Fixed type Walk
through Multi-zone Door Frame Metal detectors and supply of six
numbers Handheld Metal detectors complete with all accessories for
security checking at WQ4 Cruise Terminal along with comprehensive
AMC for 5 Years after completion of one year Guarantee period at
Chennai Port Trust.
2.0 Scope of work :
Part I:SUPPLY ,INSTALLATION AND COMMISSIONING
i)
Supply, installation and commissioning of
Four
numbers Fixed type walk through Door Frame Metal
Detectors Complete with suitable stabilizer and all other
accessories.(2Nos. at Entry & Exit of Cruise terminal and
2Nos. in the Entry point of the Baggage Scanners)
ii)
Supply, testing and handing over of
six numbers
Handheld Metal Detectors Complete Complete with
all
accessories.
Part II : COMPREHENSIVE MAINTENANCE CONTRACT
a) The Tenderer should enter into Comprehensive Annual
maintenance contract for the period of Five years after the
completion of one year Guarantee period. The Tenderer shall
quote for maintaining the entire system for the period of five
years including replacing of all the spares after completion of one
year Guarantee perod.

sensitivity setting is required.

functions shall be programmable
and controlled by a microprocessor.

on either side to calculate the traffic

(14) Protection
: The System Shall withstand
hostile
saline
environmental
condition with high humidity
prevailing in Port areas where air
is always laden with fine ore/coal
dust particles. Shall withstand all
weather conditions.
Each Door frame metal detector shall be supplied with all
accessories, suitable stabilizers, walk through door frame, control unit,
inter connecting cables, etc.,
3.2 Hand held metal detectors complete with all accessories.

4.0
INSTALLATION AND COMMISSIONING:
The Door frame metal detectors shall be installed using
necessary instruments and tools which are to be supplied by the
contractor at the location pointed out by Trust Engineer. The special
tools instruments needed for regular servicing / maintenance working
shall be supplied free of cost by the contractor. Necessary inter
linking cable shall be supplied by the contractor along with the door
frame metal detectors for satisfactory operation. All the materials

required for the installation and commissioning at site including the
material for civil works will be supplied by the Contractor.
Special care be taken to prevent any damage to the Trust’s
property during installation and commissioning. The system as also
the sub system shall be elegant pleasing in appearance and if
necessary suitably painted to withstand saline atmosphere prevailing
in the Port premises. The equipment shall be tested for satisfactory
performance and the essential parameters shall be highlighted for
periodic testing and services.
5.0
The equipment shall be Guaranteed for a period of 12
months (inclusive of replacement of all spares at free of cost )
from the date of receipt and acceptance of the equipment by
the Trust Engineer.
Offers without Five years Guarantee period will not be
considered for further evaluation.
6.0 ANNUAL MAINTENANCE CONTRACT:
The AMC order will be issued after Successful completion of the
One year Guarantee period . Based on the performance of the First year
Annual maintenance Contract, the AMC order will be renewed every year
till Five years as per the price quoted by the Tenderer. During AMC, the
contractor has to replace all the spares which are required has to
replaced at free of cost.
7.0. OTHER CONDITIONS :
1) The technical specification – “Schedule-A” and Price Schedule –
A1” to read in conjunction to make sure of the supply and works
involved.Shall visit the site before furnishing any offers.
2) The firms are required to offer rates as per Trust’s format
“Schedule-A1” without fail and mention taxes and duties. Trust
will not produce Form C or D.
3) Technical and Commercial condition shall be clearly furnished. The
offer shall mention the make and model of the equipment and shall
accompany with the relevant technical leaflet.

Note:

If any of the statutory levy mentioned above is Not required

If any of the statutory levy is required other than the one
mentioned above, the same may be indicated separately along with
the rate at which it is charged.
Offers without quote for the Annual Maintenance Contract
will not be considered for further evaluation.
