 Proxy Hour Equivalent: 30 minutes per test; 60 minutes per lesson
 Criteria for awarding Proxy Hour Equivalent: Completed test or lesson, verified by teacher
Apex Learning, Inc.
 Proxy Hour Equivalent: 1.5 hrs per lesson.
 Criteria for awarding Proxy Hour Equivalent: Attainment of at least 70% correct on unit
assessment.

 Proxy hour equivalent: 5 hours per completion of module/portion, 130 hours maximum.

expected time. Maximum hours possible = 80.

assignments have a minimum score requirement.

My Foundations Lab/Accuplacer
 Method of Awarding Time: A clock-time model will be used. Time claimed should not exceed 45
minutes per reading activity and 1 hour per math activity. The writing and study skills sections
have not yet been approved, pending further data.
 Criteria for awarding time: Teacher verification of student work is required (teachers need to run
and review gradebook reports and adjust any time exceeding the allowed maximum; teachers
should also review time 'on-task,' to insure that each student actually made an honest attempt to
master the subject).
Novanat
 Proxy Hour Equivalent: 1 hour per completed unit/final unit test.
 Criteria for awarding Proxy Hour Equivalent: Score of 70% or higher on post-test.

 Proxy Hours Equivalent: 3 hours per completed core lesson; 2 hours per core lesson if the
speaking portion is not completed. There are four core lessons per unit, and four units per level,
for a maximum total of 48 proxy hours per level.
 Criteria for awarding Proxy Hour Equivalent: Successful completion of core lesson - each lesson
has a different proficiency level needed for successful completion - platform will not allow student
to move ahead until this proficiency level is attained.
Skills Tutor
 Proxy Hour Equivalent: 30 minutes per lesson, pre-test, and post-tests.
 Criteria for awarding Proxy Hour Equivalent: Completed lesson, verified by teacher; score of 70%
or higher (except for any pre-test, for which any score can be accepted and used to collect a proxy
hour).
