Payment: The Hire of the Chapel is £8 per hour. Full payment must be received by the museum prior to the event. A deposit of 50% must be provided to secure the venue. Alcohol: If you wish to consume alcohol on site, you MUST apply for a Temporary Event Licence from the Licensing Authority prior to the event (see Hire Conditions for further details) Noise: Please note that the Chapel is located in a residential area. Please ensure your group is respectful when entering and leaving the premises and ensure that music is not played too loudly. We ask that you respect our neighbours at all times. Catering: Teas & Coffees and cake can be provided by the museum for a fee. Name Paid in Full Amount CHAPEL HIRE HIRE CONDITIONS Restrictions No smoking in the Chapel or directly outside the Chapel Do not park cars outside our neighbour’s house and leave space for access Manage noise levels. Noise from your activities should not disturb our neighbours Do not block any fire exits or fire extinguishers Access to the disabled toilet for museum visitors, must be permitted throughout the day Access to the first floor is denied. This space is alarmed. Your responsibilities Leave the premises clean and tidy (wash up any utensils used) Make occupants aware of emergency exit Report any damage or accident You must ensure any electrical equipment belonging to you and used on our premises has been certified as safe to use You are responsible for any damage to the premises You are responsible for ensuring that public liability insurance to cover any personal injury/loss incurred by your group through their negligence is obtain prior to the event(s) As the Chapel has no telephone please ensure you have access to a mobile phone and are aware of emergency telephone numbers Evacuate the building in the event of a fire and phone 999 and the emergency contact Please note The maximum occupancy of the Chapel is 60 persons Fire extinguishers, fire blanket and the first aid box are located in the kitchen. Only use if you are trained to do so The museum does not hold an alcohol licence. You MUST apply for a Temporary Event Licence from the licensing authority (Rushcliffe Borough Council) at least 10 days prior to the event if you wish to consume or sell alcohol. A copy of the approved Temporary Events Notice must be seen and checked by the Museum Manager before the event. The Management reserve the right to cancel events which are not properly licensed. The Chapel is licensed for Music, Singing and Dancing, Monday to Saturday between 10.00am and 11.00pm. It is not licensed for entertainment on Sundays The Museum reserves the right to cancel any bookings which are not legally licensed or are considered to be in violation of the law, including Health and Safety Additional requirements for regular bookings (key holders) Turn off all lights after use (check toilets) Turn off water heater in kitchen Lock exit door at end of session (use top and bottom locks), having made sure the emergency exit door is closed Do not label or make copies of the key The key must be returned immediately on termination of hire arrangements
