JISC Collections website
3 approaches:
• Titles included in deal per year
• Titles included in deals across multiple years
• Compare 2 deals from one publisher
Check your deal information
• Welcome screen shows the deal information
we hold for you for the past 2 years
• Edit if you want to change or update
• Click on earlier years (2009-10) to change or
add
What can you do with titles and
deals?
• See how many nil use titles are within the deal
and how many are outside it
• See the usage ranges report for more detail
• Download as csv and sort by deal and number of
requests
• See what titles outside the deal have usage
against them:
– DOAJ titles
– Subscribed titles
– Other?????
Core or subscribed titles
Show institutional core titles
Area for you to enter
– Core titles that you are required to maintain as
part of a deal
– Individual subscribed titles where you do not take
a deal
– Individual subscribed titles that you hold outside a
deal
Core or subscribed titles
Enter as many or as few titles as you like
either
Individually by title or ISSN
or
By publisher using drop down menu
SAVE YOUR WORK REGULARLY
Core or subscribed titles
Once titles have been marked up, you can:
• View as starred items in all JUSP reports
• View a list of marked titles in the core
institutional area and sort by title, total
requests or publisher
• Run a JR1 report from the core institutional
area and download as csv file
Keeping up to date
Titles v deals
Make sure we have up to date information on
the deals you take – check your welcome screen
Core/subscribed titles
Once you have marked up your titles for one
year, ask us to transfer the list to other years so
you can make any changes without entering
everything all over again.
