Recruitment Online Applicant Help Job Search Agent (daily email notification) 1. Start a Job Search Open the Recruitment Online portal (Jobs in Victorian Government Schools) via link http://www.education.vic.gov.au/hrweb/careers/Pages/advacsSCH.aspx Click the yellow “Search” button to start your search 2. Careers Home screen A list of the most recently advertised jobs will appear. TOP TIP #1 You can filter your search by entering Keywords or by selecting a Filter option from the left side of the screen. TOP TIP #2 During peak advertising periods, a pop up will appear advising that only the most recent 300 advertised jobs have will appear. Use the filters or keyword to customise your search. Recruitment Online Applicant Help Open the advertised Job Description View the job description: To view the Job Description and advertised Selection Criteria, click the blue hyperlink in the search results. Save the job as a favourite: You can also add the job automatically to your favourite by clicking the star on the right side of the screen. If you have already created a Recruitment Online Applicant profile, you will be prompted to enter your login details. If you have not already created an Applicant Profile, you will be prompted to create an account. 4. Save your Search You can save an unlimited number of job searches that can be run at any time. At the Careers Home screen customise your search to return the advertised jobs that you’re interested in viewing. Click the yellow “Save Search” button to save your search. After clicking “Save Search” if you have already created a Recruitment Online Applicant profile, you will be prompted to enter your login details. If you have not already created an Applicant Profile, you will be prompted to create an account. 5. Name your Search After logging in, you will be prompted to name your job search. Enter a name of up to 14 characters (including spaces) and press the yellow “Save Search” button. Last updated 18 August 2015 Page | 2 6. Online Applicant Help Set up your daily emailRecruitment notification You can choose one of your saved searches to be sent to your linked email account each day. In “My Saved Searches” click the “Edit” icon for the search you wish to save as your daily Job Search Agent. In the “Edit Search” screen, tick the “Notify me when new jobs meet my criteria” box. Click the yellow “Save Search” button to save your daily job search agent. TOP TIP #3 Your Job Search Agent will remain current for 6 months from the save date. After this time an email notification will be sent to you so you can renew your Job Search Agent. 7. Change the search criteria in your Job Search Agent If you would like to revise the criteria in your daily email notification, you can update the criteria. In “My Saved Searches”, click the “Edit” icon next to the search that indicates notification will be sent. In the “Edit Search” screen, use the filter options on the left side of the screen to change your search criteria. Click the yellow “Save Search” button to save your changes. Online Applicant Help Delete your daily emailRecruitment notification If you no longer require your daily email notification of jobs that match your search criteria, you can delete your job search agent. In “My Saved Searches”, click the trash icon next to the search you wish to delete. A pop up message will appear asking you to confirm that the job search agent will be deleted this search. Click “OK”. After deleting your Job Search Agent, you will no longer receive daily email notifications.
