OVERVIEW
What is W.O.M.B.A.T.?
W.O.M.B.A.T. stands for Walk Off Modular Barrier Antisoiling Trap; the unique entry-way dirt and soil barrier
from Ontera. Soil barriers at the entry provide one of
the most effective prevention strategies to reduce soils
before they enter a building.
Why W.O.M.B.A.T.?
The vast majority of the soiling and staining of carpet
in a commercial building results from dirt, grit and
moisture that is “walked” into the building at the
entrance area. Research has shown that up to 80% of
the soil that stains a carpet is tracked in on the feet of
people entering the building and over 10Kg of dirt can
be tracked into a building by 1000 people going
through an entrance over a 20 day work period.
The Ontera W.O.M.B.A.T. system is designed to be
used as an easy-to-install internal entrance mat to
remove residual dirt and grit from both foot and
wheeled traffic, which will minimise the cleaning
requirements and maximise the appearance retention
and expected life of a carpet installation.
Installation
W.O.M.B.A.T. modular carpet tiles are the same
dimensions as conventional Ontera Modular Carpet
products, being located at the doorway to form a
barrier to minimise soil being walked through the
building. Ontera recommends that W.O.M.B.A.T. is
installed with a minimum depth of 4 tiles, to capture at
least two adult paces. We also recommend that
W.O.M.B.A.T. be installed with the dark tuft lines
running transverse to the direction of travel to provide
maximum soil removal.

Appearance
W.O.M.B.A.T. is available in highly versatile black, grey
brown and blue colours - (Blackbat 880, Bluebat 869,
Brownbat 891, Vampirebat 892, Skybat 882 and
Greybat 870) to complement any entrance environment.
