expectations, and core content/standards in the lesson/unit.

a. Supports a collaborative process for teachers to plan lessons based on
targeted literacy goals by meeting with grade level teams to review
student work, deal with areas of concern, and plan upcoming lessons.
b. Assists teachers to plan instruction which addresses all components
of a research-based literacy classroom.
E. Teaching
a. Assists teachers with multiple teaching/learning strategies that are
appropriate to student developmental levels.
b. Helps teachers connect learning with students’ prior knowledge,
experiences, backgrounds, and current performance level.
c. Assists teachers in using appropriate strategies to help students

d. Models and provides demonstration lessons through the gradual
