Outline design on 30 November 2012
Issues with outline design on 30
November 2012
- Detailed tree survey showed root protection zones
were greater than normal and the Weeping Willow tree
was at the latter end of its life; probably not possible to
construct without damaging it
- Realisation of the playground space the weeping
willow takes up, the light it would take from new
building, and it would be obscured by new building
-“Bendy design” not conducive to the right shaped
spaces for teaching and learning
-“Bendy design” gave a poor appearance from highway
and building too close to highway – loss of green buffer
