Sherlock Holmes vs. John Watson

I have chosen two characters to write about from the Sherlock
Holmes books that have now been made into a TV show airing on
WETA. Sherlock Holmes is played by actor Benedict Cumberbatch
who was recently on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. He will
also be playing the lead role of Doctor Stephen Strange in the movie
Doctor Strange coming to theaters on November 4th . Martin
Freeman plays Dr. John Watson, Sherlock's assistant. Freeman is
known for playing Bilbo Baggins in the Hobbit. Sherlock has aired
for 3 seasons with another season coming out in early 2017. There is
also a movie in the series called The Abominable Bride.
Actions:
They are both similar because they both think through problems
before trying to solve them, although Sherlock thinks problems
through a little more than John. They are different because Sherlock
does less-friendly things than John because, unlike John, all
Sherlock cares about is solving cases, he doesn't care about any
friends!
Motives:
They both want to make the most out of life, and they have the
same way of doing it. Mystery solving! Sherlock solves cases for
fun,he doesn't need to get paid to crack cases. John Watson on the
other hand, solves cases for popularity, for friends, (he thinks the
more cases he helps solve the more friends he will get) and also for a
little bit of money.
Appearance:
Sherlock stands 6' 0” while Watson stands just a little bit shorter
at 5' 6”. They are both men but other than that don't share many
similarities. Sherlock has black hair and black eyes. While John
Watson has blond hair and brown eyes.
Personality:
Both of them can be a little rude when in their “mind palace”
where they work out different ways to solve mysteries in their heads.
Sherlock, in general, is pretty mean and doesn't care about friends or
family. Watson is usually pretty nice (that's why he wife married
him) unless he is in his “mind palace”.
Other Movies and Shows:
Cumberbatch is in Sherlock with Freeman, and they both have there
own Marvel characters. Also, they are both in the Hobbit.
Cumberbatch is also in Penguins of Madagascar, The Imitation
Game, and The Hollow Crown. Freeman is in Captain America:
Civil War, Robot Chicken, and Hot Fuzz.
These two are some of my favorite actors and you should
definitely check out the movies and TV shows they are in.
