Imagination Station Partners with The City of Toledo Department of Public
Utilities for H2O: Take a Sip of Science
TOLEDO, Ohio – We use water every day, but where does it come from and how does it become clean
enough to drink. On Saturday, May 6 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., join The City of Toledo Department of
Public Utilities and celebrate National Drinking Water Week at Imagination Station for H2O: Take a Sip
of Science.
Visitors will have the opportunity to meet water professionals and uncover the daily impact water has on
the community. The following departments will be delivering an activity showing how crucial each step
is to keeping the community’s water clean:









Administration
Engineering
Sewers
Water Distribution
Water Reclamation
Environmental
Toledo Waterways Initiative
“We are excited to work with the City of Toledo to show our visitors where our water comes from and
the process it goes through to make it to our tap,” said Sloan Eberly Mann, Director of STEM Education
at Imagination Station. “Visitors will be able to see first-hand what is in our pipes and what the city does
to maintain our water.”
Imagination Station, Toledo’s Science Center, is a vital non-profit organization that is an integral part of
Toledo’s economic, educational and social landscape. With hundreds of hands-on exhibits and
demonstrations, Imagination Station delivers a multi-sensory experience that’s as fun as it is
educational. Imagination Station provides a critical layer of science enrichment by serving as an
educational partner for teachers, schools and parents. It’s with a thoughtful blend of exhibits,
experiences, education and excitement that Imagination Station inspires visitors to pursue STEM
careers in Northwest Ohio.
All activities are FREE with admission. Lucas County residents receive a $1.50 discount and FREE
Saturday admission for kids, 12 and under, with paid adult. For more information, please call
