Android
Android: Installation
1. You will receive a SMS or
email with a download link
for the app
2. Click the link, and click
‘Open link’ to confirm your
selection
3. You may receive a message
like this, click OK to
continue
4. The link will take you to the
app store
5. Click ‘Install’ and then
‘accept’ the access request
6. When the app is installed,
open it (from the app store
or the home screen)

7. When you first open the app
it will start configuring
8. Read the Terms &
Conditions and Privacy
Policy and ‘Accept’ to
continue
9. The app will now finish
configuring, select
‘Continue’
10. You will now need to
‘Enable usage access’ so
the app can fully function
11. After selecting this, you will
see this screen. Toggle the
Reflected Life tab in order to
enable access
12. Return to the app and you
will see that usage access is
now configured

Android: VPN set up
1. After installing the app, you
will notice a ‘Certificate is
available’ notification
2. Click the notification and
you will be directed to this
screen. Select OK – no
other action is required
4. You may notice a ‘Network
may be monitored’
notification. This is normal
behaviour for the app.
5. The ‘VPN is activated by
Reflected Life’ notification
shows that the VPN has
been activated and is
working as expected.
3. Select OK when you are
asked for permission to set
up the VPN. The VPN set
up is now complete.

Android: Uninstallation
1. To uninstall Reflected Life
on an Android device, first
need to open ‘Settings’
2. Next, locate the
‘Applications’ or ‘Apps’
within the Device section
3. Select ‘Application manager’
4. Locate and select Reflected
Life
5. Select ‘UNINSTALL’
6. Confirm the selection, and
the app will be deleted.

Android: Remove security certificate
1. Open ‘Settings’ and select
‘Lock screen and security’
(or equivalent)
2. Open ‘Other security
settings’
4. Move the slider from
SYSTEM to USER and
touch the RealityMine
certificate.
5. Scroll down slightly on pop
up box and touch the
‘Remove’ button.
3. Select ‘View security
certificates’

iOS
iOS: Installation and Trust Manager
1. You will receive an email or
SMS containing a download
link for the app.
2. Click the link (from your
device) and choose ‘Install’
when prompted.
3. Once Reflected Life has
installed, it will appear on
your home screen.
4. Before you can launch the
app you will need to add
RealityMine as a trusted
developer
5. To do this, go into ‘Settings’
and open ‘General’
6. Next, scroll down and
select ‘Profile’

7. Select REALITYMINE
LIMITED
8. Now choose ‘Trust
“REALITYMINE LIMITED”’
9. Tap on ‘Trust’ when
prompted
10. Return to the home screen
and open the app. Press OK
when prompted.
11. Allow the app to configure,
this shouldn’t take very long.
12. Read the Terms and
Conditions, and the Privacy
Policy, then tap ‘Accept’
once you have done so.

iOS: VPN set up
1. After accepting the terms,
you will need to set up the
VPN profile
2. When you are prompted,
‘Allow’ Reflected Life to
access location data
3. When you are on the screen
for the RealityMine VPN,
select ‘Install’ from the top
right corner.
4. You will be presented with
this warning, tap ‘Install’ to
continue
5. Confirm this choice by
tapping ‘Install’ again
6. You will now be taken to the
‘Profile Installed’ screen.
Select ‘Done’ to continue.

7. Check whether the VPN is
connected on the general
settings screen
8. If it is not connected, please
open the VPN page and
change the status to
Connected if necessary.
9. You should see the below
image in the status bar at
the top of the screen when
the VPN is connected.

iOS: Uninstallation
1. When the study has finished
you can uninstall the app by
first locating it on your home
screen
2. Press and hold the
AnaylzeMe app icon until
the app icon’s begin to
shake.
3. Tap the cross that appears
on the app icon and choose
‘Delete’ when prompted.
4. The app will now be
uninstalled and removed
from your phone.

iOS: Deleting the VPN Profile
1. You will also need to delete
the VPN profile once the
study has finished
2. To do this, you need to open
settings and locate the VPN
profile, in the Profiles
section
3. Next, tap ‘Delete Profile’
4. Finally, tap ‘Delete’ again to
complete the removal of the
VPN Profile

Windows Desktop
Windows Desktop: Installation
Step 1 – Click the provisioning link that is sent to you by your panel manager, this will initiate a download
of the necessary installation (.exe) file that you will need to use to install the Windows desktop app.
Step 2 – Open the .exe file to begin installation and follow the on screen prompts

Step 3 – Choose installation destination and click install. Accept any prompts from Windows to allow
installation to complete.
Step 4 – If your web browser is Google Chrome and/or Mozilla Firefox, an extension will be installed
alongside the app. If either program is running during installation, you will receive a prompt asking you to
exit the browser before continuing. If you have both Chrome and Firefox running, you will receive a
separate prompt for both; click ‘OK’ to proceed. If neither program is running, the extensions will be
installed next time you open the respective browser.

Step 6 - i) Google Chrome - When Chrome restarts, this pop-up window will appear. Be sure to enable
the extension. If the Chrome prompt disappears, simply click the three bar icon and enable from the drop
down list. The blue icon will then confirm that the extension is installed and running.
ii) Mozilla Firefox – Next time Firefox is running, you will see a tab requesting the Add-on be installed.
Click the button to allow authorisation and click continue. You will then see that the add-on has been
installed by the presence of the blue icon.
Step 7 – To begin using the app, enter the email address provided by your panel manager. If you require
help, an email address can be found by clicking the help button. Click ‘Register’ when you have entered
your email. The app will then register you.

Step 8 – Next, you will be shown the screen that contains the Terms & Conditions, and the Privacy
Policy. Read through these and click accept to continue.
Step 9 – Once all the above steps are complete you will be shown the status screen which means that
registration is complete
You can close the app and still be sure it is running by observing the round green icon in the system tray.

Windows Desktop: Uninstallation
Step 1 – To uninstall the desktop app, open the control panel and select ‘Uninstall a program’ from the
‘Programs’ section
Step 2 – On the next window you will find a list of all your installed programs, locate Reflected Life and
double click (or right-click and select uninstall) to bring up the uninstallation wizard

Step 3 – Click ‘Uninstall’ and wait for the program to finish uninstalling. The program will now be removed
from the computer and the Google Chrome and/or Mozilla Firefox extension(s) will be automatically
removed too.
NOTE: If you manually remove the chrome extension, you will not be able to add it again without
uninstalling and reinstalling Google Chrome completely. Please uninstall the app and allow the
uninstallation process to remove the Google Chrome extension automatically.

Apple Mac
Mac: Installation
Step 1 – Click the link in the provisioning email sent out to you.
Step 2 – This will initiate a file download in your web browser. Click on the download
Step 3 – Once the application has downloaded, you will see the following screen. Next, drag the
Reflected Life icon into your applications folder.

Step 4 – Now, open the application folder and open Reflected Life.
Step 5 – Click ‘Open’ when presented with the following message.
Step 6 – Enter the email address you used to register for the study, and click ‘Register’.
Step 7 – Read the Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy and click ‘Accept’ to proceed.

Step 8 – Install the Google Chrome and/or Mozilla Firefox browser extension(s) by clicking ‘Restart’ on
the box that pops up – if either of them are open. Once you have done this, the browser will restart and
the Reflected Life logo will appear in the top right corner of the window.
If the browsers are not open, then you will not see the dialogue box. Instead, you will notice that the
extension has been added next time you open the browser.
Step 9 – The app will then display the following screen, to show it has been configured correctly and is
working as expected. Installation is now complete and you can leave the app to run in the background.

Mac: Uninstallation after a Study Finishes
If the study is over and you have been notified of this by your panel manager, uninstallation is extremely
simple.
Step 1 – You may receive a notification indicating that your device has been deactivated, asking you to
remove the application.
Step 2 – Open the app window and click the button marked ‘Remove’. This will remove the app and
extension(s). If the extension is not removed from your browser, restart it and it will be removed.

Mac: Uninstallation for Active Users
If you would like to remove the App before the end of the study, then follow these instructions:
Step 1 – Right click the app icon in the top bar and click “Toggle Dock Icon” if the app icon is not already
present in the dock.
Step 2 – Right click the Reflected Life dock icon and hold alt and ‘Quit’ will change to ‘Force Quit’, click it
to close the app.
Step 3 – Locate the app icon in the app folder (by using finder, or by opening the folder from the dock)
and drag it to the trash. This will also remove the browser extension(s).

Step 4 – Empty trash to remove the app completely. If you notice that the extension is still active in your
browser, simply restart the browser and the extension will be removed.
