This training session will give you some Coaching tips and a clear understanding of the Progressive
Disciplinary process. You will learn when to Coach your employee along with when discipline may be
necessary due to having to deal with the sometimes difficult employee issue. We will review the policy,
related board policies, discuss the steps of progressive discipline, probationary period, the importance
of communication, gross misconduct, the importance of documentation, grievance process, re-hire
eligibility, review case scenarios, and answer your individual questions.

(ADAAA): Cases, Questions,
& Answers
This training session will give you an understanding of the ADAAA Federal Law requirements that an
employer MUST follow. Each supervisor should have an understanding of this law. You will get clarity
on the law; learn the definition of a disability, what is a major life activity, reasonable accommodations,
when to start the process, the interactive meeting with the employee, get clarity on what to do when
the condition is temporary, essential job functions, review case scenarios, along with get answers to
your questions.

The Workers’ Compensation training will provide you with a broad overview of how to assist your
employees in the initial claim filing process. The Arkansas Public Employee Claims Division, who
administers our Workers’ Compensation program, implemented a new process for employees to file onthe-job injury claims, the Company Nurse Injury Hotline. This training will explain the roles of
employees and supervisors in getting timely and appropriate medical attention along with reducing the
paperwork. It will introduce you to the Company Nurse Injury Hotline; explain when to call the injury
hotline; how to correctly pay employees losing time from work; as well as how to assist employees with
getting prescriptions filled due to their on-the-job injury.

Attendees of this class will be instructed how to use the Online Performance Evaluation System (OPES)
within Employee Self-Service. They will learn how to navigate through the OPES and complete the
processes of annual and 90 day evaluations start to finish. This includes creating, rating and completing
an employee online evaluation. Attendees will also prepare a new annual employee evaluation for the
upcoming evaluation period.
