REDCARDRULEVIOLATIONSANDSANCTIONINGGUIDELINESFOR
PLAYER/TEAMMISCONDUCT
ThepurposeofthisdocumentistoclarifytheRedCardRuleViolationsandtoprovideawarenessto
clubmanagersinorderforthemtoproperlymanagetheirrespectiveplayers.
Rule1. ONE‐GAMESUSPENSION‐$30FINE
 Commitsseriousfoulplay,butnotviolent
 Deniestheopposingteamagoalorobviousgoal‐scoringopportunitybyhandlingtheballor
otheroffensepunishablebyafreekickorpenaltykick.
 Usesnon‐directedoffensive,insultingorabusivelanguageand/orgestures.
 Receivesasecondcaution(twoyellowcards)withinthesamegame
Rule2. ONE‐GAMEMINIMUMSUSPENSION‐$50FINE
 Commitsviolentconduct(forfighting,seeRule3Sanctions).
 Usesoffensive,insultingorabusivelanguageand/orgesturesdirectedatopponents,
teammatesorspectators(iftowardreferees;seeRule3Sanctions).
 Teamfieldsanillegal*playerregardlessoftheteam’sknowledge.Includes1yearteam
probation**.
 NumberofgamessuspensionmaybeincreasedasdeemedappropriatebytheSCFA
Rule3. THREE‐GAMEMINIMUMSUSPENSION‐(UPTOALIFETIMEBAN)PLUSMANDATORY
MONETARYFINE
 Anyfightingincident.Suspensionplus$100fine.
 Usesoffensive,insultingorabusivelanguageand/orgesturesdirectedatthereferee,assistant
referee.Thisincludesanyperceivedintimidationtowardsthereferee.Suspensionplus$100
fine.
 Spitsatanopponent,teammate,refereeoranyotherperson.Suspensionplus$100fine.
 Anyrefereephysicalcontactorassault.Suspensionforrestofcurrentseason(minimum)plus
$200fine.
 Anyplayerfoundurinatingatthefieldlocationwillbesuspendedfortherestoftheseason
plus$200teamfine.
SEASONSUSPENSION–MULTIPLEREDCARDSOCCURINGINTHESAMESEASON
 Two(2)redcardsduringanyseasonwillresultinthatplayerbeingsuspendedfortherestof
thecurrentseason**.
 Four(4)redcardsaccumulatedbyanyteam,duringanyseason,willresultinanautomatic3‐
pointdeduction,$100teamfine,and1yearteamprobation**.

TEAMPROBATION
 Anyteamgoingonprobationwillhavetwo(2)weekstodepositsufficientfundstotheleague
inordertoincreasetheirTeamMembershipBondto$500.Onceaclubisoffprobation,their
bondwillbereducedandarefundwillbeissuedtotheclubmanager.
 Failuretodepositfundswithintwo(2)weekswillcausethatteamtogoinginto“default”.Any
teamson“default”willbeplaceonadministrativeleavenotallowedtocompeteuntiltheir
statusisrectifiedtothesatisfactionofSCFA.
*Aplayerisconsidered“illegal”iftheyarenotqualifiedtoplayduetotheirage(i.e.,underage,ornotmeetingthe
properagerequirementfortheirleague),oriscurrentlyundersuspensionforapreviousREDcardbooking,or
misleadingagameofficialbyusinganotherplayer’sidentity,orismissingtheiridentificationuponrequest,or,if
theyareanewplayer,nothavingasignedwaiverformandID.
**TeamsgoingonprobationwillberequiredtoincreasetheirTeamMembershipBondto$500whileonprobation.
AllTeamfinesare“double”foranyteamcurrentlyonprobation.
