Supplementary Material
Complete list of ML proteins and their deduced nucleotide and amino acid sequence
The proteins are separated into four goups based on the level of homology. Putative orthologues are designated with
the name of the known gene. The GenBank numbers of the nucleotide sequences are listed for known genes. Novel
genes identified in the present study are listed under an assigned (assig) name. Novel gene sequences were obtained
by GeneScan. Contigs for each gene were assembled from available ESTs, which are listed on top of their nucleotide
and amino acid sequence. The deduced cDNA sequences were verified against nucleotide sequences obtained by
GeneScan. Nucleotide sequences provided in caps represent coding sequences.
