Scheduling FAQs
What’s the best way to ensure I can schedule a visit for the day I want?
Since admissions visits fill up quickly, it is recommended that you schedule at least 2-3 weeks in
advance.
Are there other options for visiting if the day I want is not available?
Even if Undergraduate Admissions cannot formally host your family, you are still welcome to visit Ohio
State. You can download our self-guided walking tour to explore campus on a day that is convenient for
your family.
Can my parents come with me?
Yes, we encourage you to bring your parents or guardians. When you select a group size for your visit,
please include them in the total.
Why does an error message appear when I am scheduling a visit?
You may not have filled in all of the required fields. Try to schedule again and be sure all the required
fields are answered. If you need assistance, call Undergraduate Admissions and First Year Experience at

Can I meet with an academic department while I’m on campus?
There are several academic departments that hold group information sessions. Once you begin
scheduling your visit, you will be asked to choose an “area of interest.” Based on your answer, the
calendar will show options for admissions visits an academic sessions. Academic sessions are offered on
a limited basis, and it is best to schedule 2-3 weeks in advance.
Can I meet with a varsity coach during my visit?
Undergraduate Admissions and First Year Experience is not able to schedule athletic appointments.

Can I eat a campus dining facility during my tour?
Yes, all campus dining locations accept cash, credit cards, and student dining plans. For a list of locations
and menus, visit food.osu.edu or ask our visit staff for recommendations.
Where can I park?
There are garages all over campus. Once you register for an event you will receive more information on
the parking areas closest to the building your Overview will be hosted in. On Weekdays we do reduce
the price of the garages.
Can I sign up for more than one visit?
Yes, of course. However, be sure not to double book for the same visit, Admissions Overview and Tours
regardless of time of year convey the same message and visit the same areas. So, if you’re interested in
a specific academic field please be mindful and register for that.
