The Accu-Rate Technologies Solution
Accu-Rate Technologies can provide a full solution with no upfront capital costs to the Government.
There will be an annual standing charge of €100 per meter over the 10 year life of the agreement.
In return Accu-Rate Technologies will:
Install wireless SMART meters nationwide. Designed, built & installed to ISO quality standards
Install a nationwide network of wireless flow meters/pressure sensors to monitor the mains for leaks.
Provide a secure central database to gather the readings sent from the meters & mains sensors 24/7/365.
Provide secure access to customer meter readings by the designated billing agent/agents.
Provide secure access to water consumption statistics & leak detection by the water utility provider/providers.
Provide a public website to allow households to access their accounts & see their meter readings (conservation)
Maintain the full hardware & software systems for the life of the 10 year agreement.

Brief Technical Description
Six Critical Elements
1. Chamber, Meter, Insulation/Frost Protection. Numerous proven Options on offer.
2. Node including sensor and transmitter. Network nodes flow and pressure. Possibility of future analytical nodes.
3. Repeater used to relay individual node transmitter to nearest Cellbridge.
4. Cellbridge used to connect nodes/repeaters to headend via GPRS or Broadband.
5. Data Centre is the nerve centre of the system where all data and control is exercised on a 24/7/365 basis.
6. Reports. Customer Care and Billing. On-Demand Read and network performance reports. Troubleshoot and
future investment information.
The system consists of a network connecting all meters (nodes) to a central data centre. The live information is
logged (value, time and date stamped) and checked for conformance to preset performance characteristics and
if out of limit alarms as directed by system setup.
The nodes communicate with a repeater positioned within several hundred metres of each other. The repeater then
in turn communicates with other repeaters to relay signals up to 3 km. The repeater may also communicate with
our ‘Cellbridge’ gateway product which communicates with the Data Centre over GPRS or Broadband. The
‘Cellbridge’ is capable of handling up to 256 nodes.

A Unique Solution Using World Class Irish Technology
A solution providing a nationwide SMART water metering and data system across 1.5 million meters, which
will bring immediate conservation savings of 150 m annually & revenues of 1 billion annually on water
services charges.
Conservation savings will also accrue from using quality live data to target network upgrades and repairs.
All of this from an Irish developed and supported system.
Employment will be 1000 during installation (two years) and 300 permanent during the term of the contract.
