1st Announcement
The laboratory of mycology invite you to take part in the work of the II-nd International
scientific conference «Biology, Systematics and Ecology of Fungi and Lichen in Natural
and Agricultural Ecosystems», which will take place in the V.F. Kuprevich Institute of
Experimental Botany in September 20–23, Minsk
and in the National Park
"Belovezhskaya Pushcha", Kamenyuki village (http://npbp.by).
Belovezhskaya Pushcha (Bialowieza Forest) represents one of the largest forests of
European plains, which has remained in a rather undisturbed state up to now. In 1992 due
to UNESCO decision the most preserved part of the high-age plantings of the national
park was included in the World Heritage list.
There are five main areas of the scientific program:
1. Biodiversity of fungi and fungi-like organisms, the problems of systematics in
mycology.
2. The role played by fungi and fungi-like organisms in natural and anthropogenous
ecosystems.
3. Biodiversity, systematics, ecology and conservation of lichens and lichenolous
fungi.
4. Protection and rational use of the mushroom resources.
5. Genetics and physiology of fungi, biotechnological problems.
Venue. The registration to the conference will be held 19-20 September in the V.F. Kuprevich Institute of
Experimental Botany (Minsk). The conference itself will take part in the National Park "Belovezhskaya
Pushcha".
Work languages are Belorussian, Russian and English.

Registration fee
Registration fee is the sum equivalent to $40 US (for young scientists under 35 - $20 US) in
Belarusian rubles at the rate of the National Bank of Belarus at the time of payment.
It includes: abstract publication, conference kit, fieldtrips, coffee / tea break, conference
dinner, transfer to Belovezhskaya Pushcha.
Accommodation and board are paid by participants themselves (the information of the
hotels service and cost will be provided in the 2nd Announcement).
For the additional abstract to be published in the conference proceedings you should pay
$10 US (it concerns only first authors).

Instructions for Authors:
The Abstract size is up to 5 pages (including tables, figures, images etc.), without
numbering of pages. Text is typed using Microsoft Word and saved in .rtf. Filename is last
name of the first author. The A4 format, all fields of 2 cm, Times New Roman, size 12 fonts,
without using semifat or italics, 1.5 line spacing, a new paragraph of 1 cm. Tables, charts,
figures in black-and-white separated from above and from below of the main text by lines
(for wide tables application of album orientation is allowed; graphic material is inserted into
the main text). The alignment of the figure names is in the center of the page, names of
tables – on the left edge. References are given directly in the text in square brackets.
