COMMUNITY FOUNDATION S for CLEAN ENERGY EXPLORATION & LEARNING PHASE CALENDAR Community foundations interested in participating in the Action Phase of the Community Foundations for Clean Energy Initiative must submit a brief Letter of Intent by July and an extended Request for Participation by early October. The calendar of remaining activities and opportunities for 2017 are outlined below. REMAINING 2017 ACTIVITIES AND OPPORTUNITIES (as of June 6) ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION DATE Build Interest / Provide Feedback / Express Intent File Letter of Intent CMF will post a simple form (via its Online Learning Community) that ▪ Letter of Intent form will be you can use to formally express your intent to complete a Request for available starting June 14 Participation in the Community Foundations for Clean Energy Action ▪ Completed Letter of Intent form Phase. All community foundations that are seriously considering or is due by Friday, July 14. that definitely intend to submit a Request for Participation later this year are encouraged to complete the form. Provide Feedback and Ideas CMF will release a preliminary Request for Participation that will include detail about the Action Phase and outline the questions to address in the RFP. CMF will solicit your questions and comments on this draft – so this step is meant to provide you the opportunity to raise concerns or offer your ideas before the RFP is made final. Learn and Share ▪ Draft RFP available starting Wednesday, June 14 ▪ Deadline for feedback on the RFP is Friday, July 14 Clean Energy Webinar – On this first webinar, community foundations ▪ Friday, June 23 and community partners will be invited to hear the story of another 12:00 PM ET – 1:30 PM ET foundation that is exercising its community leadership role on transition to clean energy in their community. It will also provide the opportunity to offer feedback on the Request for Participation and ask questions of the Initiative Partners and consulting energy experts.
