Status of sun light into the lab: no directly light for all the day

Air conditioning: 1 additional indipendent system
- conditioning system of the Physics Department
The external glass walls are thermal insulated ( as the whole Physics department and
LNS)
Status of the temperature: without the indipendent air conditioning system the
maximun temperature measured was 29° C
we use additional cooling system to work around 25 °C
 no deal with sun light and temperature in the laboratory for assembly and storage

Around 11:30 a.m. a little part of the laboratory
near the glass walls has directly sun light.
Prudently, we moved the bench for gel preparation
away from the glass walls

we received a batch for 54 DOMs
different height of the hexagon nuts so far used for the penetrator
We didn’t receive communication about that ( or I missed) so, let me confirm we can use

assembly status: ( 36 DOMs before the end of 2016)
- 36 + 3 spare bottom hemispheres with PIEZO sensors glued ( until the last
week the only possible actions)
- last week we received a lot of componets and gel
- 6 TOP part with mushrooms glued
- assembly software correctly runned
Assembly software:
we asked to expand the foreseen 40 storage positions in the assembly software (
the bottom with piezo already filled all of them)
Thanks to Daan and Fred (NIKHEF ) Valentina did it
Question about plan for next DU production:
- work in parallel on 36 DOMs ?
- work to finish firstly a string (DOM 201-218)?
… we had UPI only for 18 DOMs
main issues about components:
- we miss PMTs ( we have 101, 3 DOMs )
- we miss PMT structures ( we have 1 complete structure)
- we have 10 penetrators ( thanks for the effort on that)
- we miss collars
- we have to calibrate AHRS on CLBs

About the paint of the PMT structures
We planned to use liquid paint becaus we don’t have a properly and safely place where
apply spray in mass amount
The same paint used and tested in NIKHEF and NAPOLI isn’t distributed in Italy
Isn’t possible to buy it from Italy
we received 2 bins from NIKHEF ( thanks to Daan)
no different ways also for future

Test on DOM114 to verify effects on PMT of gel defects
its TOP is the worst case for gel defects
Detachments involved a large part of the PMTs and deflector rings
for 6 PMTs
