T
his project incorporated a top-to-bottom refurbishment in
3-phases of a leisure centre and former public library.
Our focus was to rationalize the centre layout, increasing
and improving facilities. The existing health suite required
updating whilst the studio was small by modern standards and
compromised by column locations, the re-worked layout provided
2 new studios of approximately 100m2 each.
Customers have been delighted with the new facilities including
a dedicated spin studio – requiring good acoustics and good
ventilation. The new Health Suite incorporating a new steam
room, sauna, relaxation area and an ice feature provides high
quality facilities for centre users.

The Soft play area of 150sqm – a very well used facility – was
created in liaison with soft play specialists to provide engaging,
safe and challenging play for younger customers.
The works to the leisure pool,
included refurbishment of the
changing area, transforming this
into high end members’ club
style facilities.
