Unemployment:
Unemployment means lack of legitimate job opportunities for the people who are
qualified and willing to work. Unemployment can be partial or full. Full unemployment
means the loss of earnings due to personal disability to find appropriate job, despite the
seriousness of looking for job. The partial unemployment means a temporary reduction
of normal or legal working hours, it also can be defined as stop or lack of earnings due to
a temporary suspension of work without any break in the employment relationship,
particularly because of economical or technological reasons. Unemployment also means
leaving some of the possibilities available to the society without exploitation and
considered it as a waste of resources. Paul A. & William D. (2010) Economics.
Causes and effects of un employment:
The causes of unemployment are different from one region to another. For example
there are people will mind to work due to the kind of work either the risks, hardness or
the general climate of work. In my survey, about 78% of the people living in Saudi Arabia
will reject to work because of the kind of work. Exactly they relate that thing to their
commitment to the customs and traditions of their culture. While 1% of them will mind
to work due to the risks of work, because the others have a strong belief of that the
employer will take all precautions of the work.
Also in a survey has been collected, 28% of people preferred privet works more than
getting a job. That gives a bad indicator because a high percentage are waiting to get a
job while in general the country needs more and more small projects to be established
via public. But how can they live while waiting for future job? More than 50% of the
people seeking for works said that the governments must provide Unemployed Support
Programs as temporary solution to absorb the big amount of revaluated people. The
Unemployment Support Program is program to pay money for the people without
works on specific based period of time. It is always less than the minimum limit of
salaries decided by the government.
In general, full dependence on modern machinery and technology. That means if we
depend on the new technology in our industries and firms, there will be a surplus in the
number of labors which naturally will decrease the benefits of the business. The
increase in the number of population needs to create and increase the number of jobs
as a result, to absorb the exceeded number of population. Reluctance of some capitals
owners to invest and create new projects will not provide the chance to create extra
jobs. Increase of taxes and decrease of education levels, all these reasons have an
impact to cause the phenomenon of unemployment.
In the last four years, since the inflation in the world economy the rate of
unemployment have increased. It can be noted in the European region. Also in the
Middle East, the developed unemployment rates have a strong impact from the political
side. They have made great revolution against the political systems because of their
failure toward finding a solutions for that phenomenon. One more thing will happen
due to unemployment is that the society will suffer from that kind of people that steels,
kills, usurps and be a wearisome dependent and pauper for the society. Also, the most
important effect that happen because of unemployment is the declining in the economy

Facts and data:
The following graph will show the rate of unemployment, and how it increased last four
years. So. That problem has been fight long time ago, but what about the result of that
war?

The answer for the previous question cannot be determined forever, because the
phenomenon of unemployment might be torpid or inactive but cannot be eliminated as
shown in the graph. In other word, even if we find a solution to decrease
unemployment, we need to keep up to make the rate satiable. We can see in the graph
the increase of unemployment in the currently more than before. The normal reason of
that is the change in surrounded conditions like the number of population and
economy. Despite these facts and kind of barriers, in my survey that I have been
collected, I have found 68% of people think that creating and finding jobs is a sole
responsibility of their governments, and more than 80% of them said that there is a final
solution for the Unemployment phenomenon that the government can find.
Successful examples:
There are a lot of countries have fight the phenomenon of unemployment. German and
Britain were in the top of the list of these counties. But the country which have fight
unemployment strongly and made a clear change was Malaysia. I have chosen the
Malaysian case because it can be helpful and suitable for a lot of countries due to its
minimum natural resources and its simplest infrastructure.
The Malaysian government with its leader and its new renaissance Dr. Mahater
Mohammed have faced that problem and treat it from the base. The government have
decreased the percent of unemployment up to 3% which reflected on the poorness
which declined from 56% up to 5% in the year of 2002. How did Mahter decreased the
unemployment? In that term, the government has adopted a package of successive laws
that governing the work environment. Also it required pushing the Malaysian workforce
in the foreign industrial investment projects. Besides, it worked on providing the
reasons of accommodate and stability of migrant workers from rural to urban. The
government also, provided technical training courses for cadres moderation grantee the
people an early involvement in works. All these actions have made a great won for
Malaysia against the phenomenon of unemployment. World of Information (2006)

In spite of the amazing success in the Malaysian case or any other cases, each country
can follow the general methods of fighting unemployment, but they need follow the
detailed and specific ways according to the nature of their resources and economical
systems.
