Mission of Greek Week
The mission of Greek Week is to provide a platform for coming together in celebration of community. Through events
surrounding service, education, and friendly competition, all participating fraternity men and sorority women will gain experience
in giving back, learning about one another, and appreciating interfraternalism.
2015 Greek Week Rules
1. No member of any team will arrive to any event intoxicated. If a member is found to be intoxicated at an event, the
entire team will be disqualified from the duration of Greek Week. Judicial sanctions will be brought against any team
that has member(s) intoxicated at events.
2. The following items are due in person no later than April 1, 2015. Any team that fails to meet the deadline will be
ineligible to win. Incomplete forms will not be accepted. ONE PACKET PER TEAM.
**Packets can be handed in early by contacting Matt Miller or Olivia Miller. Each team’s packet will be recorded as submitted ONLY when
either Greek Week Chairperson receives all requested information, completed entirely. Entries will be time-stamped upon receipt.

 LipSync Music
 Greek God/Goddess Talent (and Music, if necessary)
3. All participants for each team must be active, financial members in good standing with a 2.5 GPA.
4. The rosters will include full names of all team participants and WCU Student ID numbers.
5. Priority music selection will be given to teams on a first come, first serve policy.
6. PARTICIPATION FOR THE WEEK MUST INCLUDE AN EQUAL NUMBER OF NEW MEMBERS AND INITIATED MEMBERS.
In accordance with the Anti-Hazing Policy, organizations with new member programs taking place in Spring 2015 are
responsible for managing team participation sign-ups to ensure that new members are not the only chapter
volunteers and that initiated members equally participate. Event type must be considered during sign-ups.
7. Performers and/or participants for each event are to arrive no later than the times listed for their respective events.
Any team with late participants will have one event point deducted for every minute the group is late.
8. All performances are to be in good taste and congruent with our values. If any routine is considered to be
inappropriate by a judge, advisor, or Greek Week chairs, the routine will be stopped and the team disqualified.
9. All props and materials for all events must be submitted in list format with registration information for approval.
Without approval, the group will be deducted one point per un-registered prop for the corresponding event. All
teams are responsible for their individual props. Every team must bring and take home their belongings at the
beginning and end of each event. Any props left behind will result in a five point deduction per item.
10. Judgments and rules made or altered by the West Chester University Campus Recreation staff, the Greek Week
Chairpersons, and the selected judges are final. Their decisions are based on unbiased opinions looking after the best
interests of the community. Any team caught arguing with any staff member, chairperson, or selected judge will be

2015 Banner Competition
Each team must submit a banner to be hung in Sykes Student Union. The purpose of your team banner is to showcase
the fraternity/sorority community throughout Greek Week and should embody our shared values.
Scoring:
The banner will be judged on three categories:
1. Greek Unity
2. Creativity
3. Overall Design
Overall Rules:
1. The submission deadline is 1:30pm on Sunday, April 12, 2015. The banner MUST be handed in on time. A table
will be set up in Sykes for collection prior to the Opening Ceremony.
2. All organizations on your team MUST be represented.
3. Themes may be used.
4. The banner MUST be DRY when submitted.
5. Banners using glitter will be disqualified.
6. No foul language.
7. Banners misrepresenting chapters in the community will not be considered for points in the banner competition.
(Ex: All chapters/letters featured on your banner MUST be accurate representations of the chapters here. Typos
and incorrect chapter listings will result in your ineligibility for points. When listing all chapters in the
community, BLGC chapters must be listed individually. Chapter names are on the front of the packet.)
2015 Penny Wars
Penny Wars will take place in Sykes lobby or outside of Sykes (weather permitting) from Monday, April 13 through
Friday, April 17, 2015. Proceeds benefit Camp Dreamcatcher.
How it works:
Money Donated Points:
 Pennies count as positive points. All other money (nickels, dimes, quarters, bills, checks, etc.) counts as
negative points equal to the cent value of the currency. For example, a nickel is equal to negative 5
points; a dollar bill is equal to negative 100 points.
 All money can ONLY be put into the jars during Penny Wars hours only (10AM-2PM) in the attendance of
the team on duty and a member of the Penny Wars committee.
 No foreign currency will be counted.
Table Staffing:
 Greek Week committee members will sign up for staffing first and will not receive points on behalf of your team.
 Empty slots will be available for first-come, first-serve sign ups. Groups who volunteer to fill shifts will be
considered based on the timestamp on your submitted registration packet. Teams will receive 1 point for every
member who signs up, attends their shift, and follows through with their duties.
Overall Rules:
 Any tampering with the jars or the money within will count as an immediate disqualification of that team for the
rest of the week. Any disqualified team will still be required to fulfill any shifts they committed to and will face
the penalty of losing overall points for failure to attend.
 Volunteers who do not attend their shifts (or do not fulfill their responsibilities) will not receive their points.
 Jars will be closed Monday through Friday at 2 PM sharp. Once a jar is closed, no submissions will be accepted
until the table opens the following day.
 Collections end at 2 PM on Friday, April 17, 2015.
Fraternity & Sorority Greek Week 2015 | #GameOnGW2k15

Canned Food Structure
Up to 10 members per team will be permitted to participate in the building of the canned food sculpture. Members
must represent every organization on the team with a minimum of one representative per chapter. Labels MUST remain
on cans. Cans can be covered on the outside to give a more visual effect of the sculpture. Cans must be uncovered
after the event and legible to read the label of the can. Therefore, duct tape and glue may NOT be used to cover your
cans. Groups found to have removed or damaged labels will be disqualified, as their cans will not be able to be donated.
Participants MUST arrive in Sykes by 11:15am. Teams will have from 11:15am to 12:00pm to get their supplies into
the ballrooms. A maximum of 1000 cans are allowed per team, and a total number per team is required at check-in.
Teams have an hour and a half to create and build their team sculpture. The build begins promptly at 12:00pm and
concludes at 1:30pm. Clean-up begins as soon as judges announce the winning teams.
