「淨化海港計劃第二期甲」的其中一項主要工程為在昂船洲污水處理廠內建造新污泥脫水設施。昂船洲污水處理廠採用
化學輔助一級污水處理程序，其過程是將化學品加入污水中以協助懸浮固體沉澱，而收集到的沈澱物 ─ 即污泥會被送去
脫水(見下頁)。脫水後的污泥體積相對較小，可減輕運輸開支；而污水經消毒後則可排放。新污泥脫水設施工程包括建造
污泥儲存缸、污泥脫水大樓及污泥塊筒倉。
新設施將運用先進技術以增加污水處理量，務求達至更高能源效益，減低對環境的影響。淨化海港計劃第二期甲致力加

One of the important features in the HATS Stage 2A Project is the upgrading of the Sludge Dewatering Facilities in Stonecutters
Island Sewage Treatment Works (SCISTW). A chemically enhanced primary treatment process is used in the SCISTW whereby
chemicals are added to the sewage to facilitate the settlement of suspended solids. These settled solids become sludge which is
collected from settlement tanks then treated and dewatered (see next page). Dewatered sludge is relatively smaller in size which
helps to minimize the delivery cost. The upgrading works include the construction of Sludge Storage Tanks, a new Sludge
Dewatering Building (SDB) and Sludge Cake Silos.
Advanced technologies are used in the new facilities to cope with the increasing sewage flow and improve energy efficiency.
Amongst other benefits, these technologies are environmentally friendly, enhance ease of maintenance and lower operational
costs. The design of the SDB has also incorporated a green roof and roof skylights. In addition to its aesthetic value, the green
roof also has the environmental benefit of increasing the thermal efficiency of the building thereby saving energy, and the use of
skylights also reduces the electricity used for lighting by allowing sunlight into the building. Construction of the new Sludge
Dewatering Facilities is now in full swing. With the collaboration between the contractor and consultant in a partnering spirit, the
building structure is complete and installation of electrical and mechanical systems is in progress. It is expected that the new
Sludge Dewatering Facilities will be put into service in the middle of 2014.

未經處理的污泥被存放於儲存缸內暫存，再輸送到污泥脫水大樓。
Sludge is temporarily stored in tanks and pumped to the Sludge
Dewatering Building at a steady flow rate.
污泥脫水大樓 Sludge Dewatering Building (SDB)
大樓設有14部離心機，以每分鐘2700轉高速 (約3倍家用洗衣機轉速)
去除污泥中的水份。所有新設施均設有除味設備。其中有些更採用了
生物滴濾除味技術，利用微生物除去釋出的氣味。
Inside the SDB, water is removed from raw sludge by 14

spin
at
2700 revolution per minute (3 times faster than a domestic spin drier). All
facilities are equipped with Deodourisation Units. Some of these Units
utilize the advanced bio-trickling filter technology to remove odour.

Treated sludge is transferred through pipework from the SDB to the
Sludge Cake Silos for storage.

The dry sludge stored in the Sludge Cake Silos is disposed of by
barges.
