From the 8th – 23rd April 2017 Ullswater ‘Steamers’ are offering free travel for their younger visitors aged between 5 – 15 years, when they take along their favourite Teddy bear and enjoy a cruise on a historic ‘Steamer’. Once on-board the kids and teddies will be kept fully entertained with a selection of colouring sheets. Lisa Braithwaite, Attractions Marketing Manager at Lake District Estates says; “We are looking forward to celebrating the Easter holidays with our ever-popular family event. It is a great day out for the whole family and especially nice to treat Ted to a trip out on the lake. Now in its fourth year it continues to get bigger and better each year and is a great way to encourage the kids to get outside and enjoy the fantastic scenery we have on offer.” After the cruise, it’s time to take Ted on a very special Teddy trail just waiting to be discovered between Aira Force and Glenridding Pier on part of the new Ullswater Way.
