We explored animal performance, carcass and meat traits and molecular analysis. The research was funded by TWAS-UNESCO-Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). February 2015 at present, Assistant Professor at Burundi University, Bujumbura, Burundi Course Responsibilities: I lecture principles of nutrition and conduct practical courses, including feeds and supplements, feed analysis, digestibility, manual energy calculations, manuel protein calculations and feed formulations. Research Responsibilities: I conduct research involving inputs and outputs, molecular nutrition, agricultural residues and non-conventional feeds I supervise more than 10 graduate students to conduct their independent research projects including project design, data collection, data analysis and final reports Other Responsibilities: In addition to the above academic and research works I am responsible for: Extension work to livestock farmers ( I train animal farmers modern techniques for rearing domestic animals under European Commission funding) Cow farm management(i.e. monitoring reproduction, nutrition and diseases prevention) Training of livestock farmers under the European commission funding from Animal care for several farmers in the province of Gitega 2011-2015: During this PhD research work, I studied the effects of graded levels of urea in growing camels fed roughage based complete pellet diets. The research project was funded by African Union (AU) and Indian Council for Agricultural Research (ICAR). Two articles from this research work have been published: (1)Supplementation of urea affects rumen microbial enzyme activity and nitrogen metabolism in growing camels fed with roughage based complete pellet diets and (2) Influence of urea supplementation on nutrient intake and growth performance in growing camels fed roughage based complete pellet diets in the Journal of Animal Nutrition. 2 2002-2010: Different works in the Netherlands 2000-2002: During my master studies I conducted a research work in order to improve in vitro maturation media and published an article entitled: “effects of hormonal supplementation in protein- free culture media on maturation and developmental competence of porcine oocytes in vitro”. The research project was funded by Chinese government. 1994-1999: I was laboratory Assistant, University of Burundi, Gitega, Burundi Research Responsibilities: I was responsible for the maintenance of Animal Nutrition Laboratory, I supervised and assisted more than 30 undergraduate students to conduct their independent research projects including project design, data collection, data analysis and final reports 1993-1994: During my bachelor studies I performed a research work in order to write my bachelor thesis in animal sciences. I evaluated milk production and analyzed chemical composition, physical properties and technological qualities of Bulgarian Cheese from Southern Bulgarian Corridel Ewes. 3.
