Sketch Map
• Each period voted on what type of sketch map they would like to create.
(Democratic/voting)
• First period will do: Resource Maps
• Second period will do: Climate Maps
• Fourth period will do: Political Maps
• Fifth period will do: Physical Maps
• Seventh period will do: Population Maps
• Eighth period will select the map of their choice
• Each student will sketch out the continent, south of the Sahara, and add 20
features pertaining to the selected type of map.
• Do not forget your T.O.D.A.L.s, all on the front of your map (Especially a
detailed legend)
• All maps will be exhibited in the hallway to share with the Cougar community
so be creative and do your very best map ever
• This map is due next Wednesday, March 1st, but don’t wait until the last
minute!
Sketching Tips:
1. With a relaxed hand lightly touch the paper with your pencil tip. A
very light sketch allows you to erase easily when you need to make
changes.
2. Use your whole vertical sheet of paper wisely so you have plenty
of room for your 20 features.
