The Lower Waitaki - South Coastal Canterbury
Zone Committee is working with the community
to establish water quality limits which will form
part of the Waitaki Sub-Regional Plan.
The committee would like to invite people with an
interest in water quality in the Waitaki Valley and
Tributaries and Mid-reach North Side (see below
map) to attend a workshop to discuss limit setting
processes, share modelling results, and get feedback
on possible water quality management options.
The Waitaki Valley and Tributaries and the Mid-North
reach areas are both hydrologically connected to the
Waitaki River. People specifically interested in water
quality in the Mid-reach North side area are invited
to attend at 3pm and may want to stay on for the
remainder of the meeting.
