This program offers quality instruction using the United States Figure Skating guidelines and standards. Format Classes for Term 7 are held on Mondays or Wednesdays. Classes for Term 7 are 6 weeks. 1st Day Procedure Skaters should arrive at least 15 minutes prior to their scheduled class time to pick up name tag and to allow sufficient time for preparation. Equipment Single Blade hockey and figure skates are required. All sizes of hockey and figure skates are available to rent for only $3.00. Helmets are recommended for all children 5 years of age and under (good fitting bicycle helmets are acceptable). Attire Comfortable, flexible and warm clothing, including hats and gloves or mittens, are recommended for all skaters! Payment Cash, check or credit card (Visa, Master Card or Discover). Skaters must have completed and passed at least Snowplow 4 or Basic 2 in order to enroll in this class. Basic equipment is required—HECC certified helmet with facemask, shin pads, elbow pads & hockey gloves and stick it is highly recommended LTP Skaters continue LTS Classes through Basic 5 Adult Learn to Play Hockey—Monday 7:20 pm Adult Learn to Play Hockey (LTPH) is for anyone 16 years of age and older. This class is offered on Mondays from 7:20 pm to 8:10 pm. Skating Skills & Stick Handling is part of the curriculum. Basic equipment is required (Helmet with facemask, shin pads, elbow pads, hockey gloves & Stick) Adult Learn to Dance —Mondays 7:10 pm Adult Learn to Dance is for anyone 16 years of age and older. This class is offered on Mondays at 7:10 pm to 8:00 pm. Skating skills, timing, body control and The Dutch Waltz dance will be part of the curriculum. Skate Rentals extra—$3.00 per pair each week.
