There have been lots of fun and lots of learning taking place. Be sure to check out the pictures of some the students hard at work. Please see the reminder below that students in grades 3 – 5 have ISTEP testing coming up. It is important that students have a good night’s rest, have a healthy breakfast (remember Handley serves a free breakfast to all students), and are to school on time. STUDENTS The next PTO meeting will be held on Monday, April 18,, at 3:30 p.m. in We are now “rounding up” the names of children that will be attending Kindergarten at Handley School in the fall of 2016. Children that are 5 years old by August 1, 2016, may enroll for Kindergarten. If you know of a child in the Handley district that will be in Kindergarten, please have them contact us at 362-2561.. the library. We will be planning and preparing for next year. Please join us; it’s a great way to get involved. SUMMER FOOD SERVICE PROGRAM LaPorte Community School Corporation will again provide free breakfast and/or lunch to students 18 years and under. The program begins on June 6 and runs Monday through Friday. ENJOY SOME PICTURES OF OUR HANDLEY STUDENTS AT THE FUN FAIR! PARENT POWER: Line them up Sometimes students get math problems wrong simply because they haven’t lined up the numbers correctly. Try this. Have your child work problems on graph paper, using one box per number. Once she gets used to this system, he/she will be able to transfer the lining up skill to regular paper.
