After a long, wet winter
we can begin to think
about our gardens again.
Many trees are beginning
to blossom, bulbs are
pushing through and we
have even received
insect bites during
January! In short, plants
and wildlife are
responding to our milder
climates. Water logged
ground, which is
becoming a regular
occurrence, is
exacerbated by our
predominantly clay soils.
Adding well rotted
manure to the borders
can improve drainage
with the additional
benefits of increasing
nutrient levels and
microbial activity within
the soil. In response,
plants will produce strong
lush growth and become
more resistant to pests
and diseases. Rose
plants will produce
significantly more blooms
with the addition of rotted
manure
If you are interested in
our spring manure
mulching or you would
like a regular fortnightly
or monthly garden
maintenance slot
reserving please contact
us. Our garden
maintenance service is
available from March.
Gardeners Guild Membership
Christelle Landscapes is
a member of The
Gardeners Guild, a
professional body for
qualified gardeners. As a
company we regularly
invest in updating our
skills by gaining industry
recognised qualifications.
Later this year business
partner, Estelle Davis,
plans to further her
education and embark on
an RHS Masters in
Horticulture.

New Apprenticeship for Christelle Landscapes
"I have always
loved working
outdoors and it's
an added bonus
to work with
family"
We are excited to
announce our new team
member Ainsley Davis,
who will be joining us as
an apprentice whilst
studying work-based
horticulture at Sheffield
College.
He has gained plenty of
work experience over the
past few years through
Christelle Landscapes in
both garden maintenance
and landscaping duties.
Having Ainsley on board
will help to increase our
availability and efficiency
to our clients.
"I am really looking
forward to starting my
apprenticeship, I have
always loved working
outdoors and it's an added
bonus to work with family"
- Ainsley Davis
New website re-launch due for March 2016
We are currently working
with web designers to
bring our website bang up
to date. The new website
will allow us to continually
up date images and texts
with our latest projects.
The website is linked to
our facebook page:
www.facebook.com/chri
stellelandscapes
enabling access to day to
day activities and updates.
There is a very big chance
your garden will feature on
our website and facebook
page. Don't forget to like
us and happy spotting!
The website address will
remain as
www.christellelandscap
es.co.uk. The re-launch
will coincide with the
relocation of our home
and business to Wadsley
which we expect to take
place mid March. We will
be keeping our landline
0114 2494963. During the
transition we maybe off
line and temporarily
without our landline,
however we will remain
contactable on
07886642525.
Scarify, Aerate And Reseed Tired Lawns
Healthy lawns require air
to the roots, good
drainage and to be weed
and moss free. Feed and
weed products may help
but to really improve the
chances of a perfect lawn
this summer work needs
to be done now. Scarifying
will lift the moss and
thatch that allows weeds
to easily seed and thrive.
Aerating the lawn will
improve the drainage as
well as allowing air to the
roots. A top dressing of
loam and seed is also
recommended. If you are
interested in this service
and would like more
information please contact
us for a free quotation.
We look forward to seeing you soon!

One benefit of using your
newsletter as a
promotional tool is that
you can reuse content
from other marketing
materials, such as press
releases, market studies
and reports.
A great way to add useful
content to this newsletter
is to develop and write
your own articles, or
include a calendar of
upcoming events or a
special offer that promotes
a new product.
While your main goal of
distributing a newsletter
might be to sell your
product or service, the key
to a successful newsletter
is making it useful to your
readers.
You can also research
articles or find “filler”
articles by accessing the
World Wide Web. You can
write about a variety of
topics but try to keep your
articles short.
Much of the content you
put in your newsletter can
also be used for your Web
site. Microsoft Word offers
a simple way to convert
your newsletter to a Web
publication. So, when
you’re finished writing
your newsletter, convert it
to a Web site and post it.

This would be a good place to insert a short paragraph about your organization. It
might include the purpose of the organization, its mission, founding date, and a brief
history. You could also include a brief list of the types of products, services, or
programs your organization offers, the geographic area covered (for example, western
U.S. or European markets), and a profile of the types of customers or members
served.
It would also be useful to include a contact name for readers who want more
information about the organization.

This story can fit 175-225
words.

Web site address
If your newsletter is
folded and mailed, this
story will appear on the
back. So, it’s a good idea
to make it easy to read at
a glance.
A question and answer
session is a good way to
quickly capture the
attention of readers. You
can either compile
questions that you’ve
received since the last
edition or you can
summarize some generic
questions that are
frequently asked about
your organization.
A listing of names and
titles of managers in your
organization is a good
way to give your
newsletter a personal
touch. If your
organization is small, you
may want to list the
names of all employees.
If you have any prices of
standard products or
services, you can include
a listing of those here.
You may want to refer
your readers to any other
forms of communication
that you’ve created for
your organization.
You can also use this
space to remind readers
to mark their calendars
for a regular event, such
as a breakfast meeting
for vendors every third
Tuesday of the month, or
a biannual charity
auction.
If space is available, this
is a good place to insert a
clip art image or some
other graphic.
