CONTACT WITH PROHIBITED SUBSTANCES
Describe the preventive measures to be taken to:
* Ensure that during all stages of processing, the organic and nonorganic fibers/products applying for certification are kept separate,
including the storage of the raw material, and are not contaminated by contact with prohibited substances.
* Describe identification methods of the products at all steps through your facility.
Remember you need to set up a good system for separating organic products from conventional ones: from the moment of
reception of the raw material, through all steps of processing, storage rooms, etc., up to sale.
Describe if the separation is IN SPACE (separate warehouses and production lines for organic), or IN TIME.
* What measures are in place to assure non organic inputs do not remain on processing equipment and containers
prior to organic processing?
Thorough clean and rinse
Purge
Pressurized air
Sweeping
Vacuuming
Other:
* If equipment is purged, how much material is flushed/ purged through the system?

* Please, list all the fiber inputs used for the products which you are requesting certification for.
Include all organic fibers and additional fibre materials- as conventional natural fibers, regenerated fibers from
certified organic raw materials or non- organic raw materials, recycled synthetic fibers, virgin synthetic fibers, etc.
