 STEP 5 – Identify/Check Drainage Review Type:
 No Additional Drainage Review: For small residential development projects, IF the path identified on the flowchart
shows “Minimum Requirement #2 applies” AND the answer to the “Next Question” is No.
On-site mitigation is not required; the Site Assessment and Planning Packet is not required; basic erosion and
sedimentation control measures must still be implemented.
 Simplified Drainage Review: For small residential development projects, located outside critical areas or critical
area buffers – Reviewed as part of building permit.
 Simplified Drainage Review – Engineered: For small residential development projects, located inside critical
areas or critical area buffers – Reviewed as part of building permit.
 Abbreviated Drainage Review: For small non-residential development projects or grading only projects that
involve movement of 150 – 5,000 cubic yards of material AND is located outside critical areas or critical area buffers
– Reviewed through Site Development Activity Permit.
 Abbreviated Drainage Review – Engineered: For small non-residential development projects or grading only
projects that involve movement of 150 – 5,000 cubic yards of material that:

 Constructs improvement in the right of way; OR
 Constructs in a critical area or critical area buffer
– Reviewed through Site Development Activity Permit.
