Project Scope
Enrolment
System knows whether you are an old regime or new regime student and present options
accordingly: pre-identification and flagging of old regime students.
Changes to admissions process:
messaging, timing ….
Policy and procedure around accepting offers, invitations to enrol, encouraging declines …
Payment in instalments (new payments package)
Debt chasing (be aware of possible required changes to existing procedures)
Update online programme enrolment
Terms and conditions of enrolment
Enrolment (modular only)
Replace SITS-based modular enrolment with a Birkbeck APEX development
User authentication outside SITS
Lower ‘2011/12’ fees for continuing students (old regime)
Student confirmation of programme of study (required for loan eligibility) (new regime)
Build and populate Curriculum database with modular Certs modules
Assess whether modules contribute towards a named programme of study (required for loan
eligibility) (new regime)
Lower fees for special agreements, e.g. students from London FE Colleges

Bursaries and scholarships

Assess eligibility for loans and enrol based on expected receipt of a loan (new regime)
Receipt of loan income against debtor account
Instruct students to apply for loans (communication): track who has applied?
Student change of circumstance: withdrawals, mode change, transfer
Keeping the student record in line with mode, programme in a timely manner
Liaison with SLC:
