PROJECT BENEFITS
• SAFETY
• Reduce runway incursion potential by removing direct ramp-to-runway
access.
• Eliminate head-to-head traffic.
• Changes to the movement area.
− Eliminates the ATC blind spot at Concourse B.
− Fewer and simpler SOPs for ATC.
− Eliminates LOA for pushback from gates B7 and B8.
• Reduces ARFF response time to the midfield of Runway 4-22.
• STANDARDS
• Taxiway conformance with current FAA design standards.
• Non-standard intersections of existing Taxiways A, C and A6 will be
eliminated.
