If you need help at recess/lunch
DRINK REQUEST OR WASHROOM BREAK
Ask permission from one of the AMPS staff members or adult lunch monitor to come
into the school
Use DOOR C entry only ( staff are their to supervise/help you)
Use the WASHROOMS/DRINK fountain closest to DOOR C only.
Do not wander around the school
ACCIDENT/INJURY
Ask friend/classmate to get help from staff member or adult lunch monitor
Ask permission to go to the office to get assessed, get a band aid, or ice
Please only bring one person with you when you have permission.

BULLYING/PHYSICAL AGGRESSION

Staggered LUNCH RECESS
Due to the increasing student population and our small
tarmac & field area, we have decided to have a staggered
lunch hour as follows:
GRADE 1 TO GRADE 4/5
EARLY LUNCH
Eat lunch inside first from 11:50 a.m. -12:10 p.m. then go
outside from 12:10 p.m. until 12:50 p.m.
GRADE 5 TO GRADE 8
LATE LUNCH
Go outside first 11:50 a.m.-12:30 p.m. then come inside to eat
lunch from 12:30 p.m. until 12:50 p.m.
BONUS
* Student lunch monitors still get to eat with their classmates
(unless rainy day recess)

If you meet the following criteria you can apply to be a student
lunch monitor at Alexander Muir P.S.
Criteria:
• If you are a student in grade 6-8
• If you are friendly and caring
• If you willing to give up eating lunch with your friends
• If you do not go home for lunch
• If you are looking for a leadership opportunity
If you said YES to all of the above then give your name, grade to
Ms. Wand over the next few days!

Safe Ball Play (Recess/Lunch)
For safety reasons for all students
and staff at Alexander Muir P.S.
We will only permit the following balls at our school this year:
Acceptable Balls at School
•Tennis balls
•Basketballs (on tarmac only- near basketball nets)
• Small NERF, NERF soccer, NERF footballs only
PLEASE DO NOT BRING ANY OTHER BALLS TO SCHOOL
DO NOT BRING BATS or other PLAY equipment without
seeking permission from Principal/Vice Principal first.
