Vice President of Consumers Energy Company
Mary P. Palkovich is vice president of gas engineering and
supply for Consumers Energy, the principal subsidiary of CMS
Energy. She was named to this position in 2017.
Palkovich is responsible for engineering and planning of the
company’s natural gas transmission and distribution
systems, and for natural gas supply. She leads development
and execution of plans to maintain, upgrade and expand the
natural gas delivery systems that provide safe, reliable,
affordable and sustainable natural gas service to customers.
Palkovich also oversees natural gas pipeline integrity, natural gas metering and regulation,
natural gas transmission, compression and storage, and natural gas control.
Palkovich previously served as vice president of energy delivery. She joined Consumers
Energy in 2012 as executive manager of gas asset management.
Prior to joining Consumers Energy, Palkovich worked for CenterPoint Energy, Minnegasco,
and Panhandle Eastern Pipeline Company in various engineering and leadership roles.
Palkovich holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science and mathematics from the
University of Missouri-Kansas City. She also earned an associate’s degree in civil
engineering technology from Michigan Technological University.
Mary and her husband Jeff have four adult children. They enjoy traveling, sailing, skiing and
golf.
