Existing “soft” detour of US 63 through traffic
in effect for this construction season (2017)
Seven calendar day “hard” detour this fall for
construction of temporary dewatering system

“Hard” detour of US 63 allowed beginning
March 5, 2018


Currently suppressing the groundwater table 15 feet
Plans include temporary dewatering and shoring for
constructing a new groundwater suppression system


To be constructed in 2017
To be operated beginning November 15, 2017



Will maintain dry pavement during winter 2017/18
Will allow time for improvements prior to spring
2018

Plans include construction of CC&P railroad
shoofly and partial removal of the existing
CC&P bridge (including some piling)



Significant coordination with CC&P
CC&P to perform portions of shoofly
construction and removal
Once shoofly is operational, DOT contractor to
perform work within 45 calendar days
