Imagine That 2017 Official Story
Somewhere in the deep expanse of our universe floats a small planet. On this planet
lives a population of Space Pirates, among other forms of life. These Space Pirates are
concerned because the star that gives them light and life is dimming rapidly. The effects
are alarming, so they make a plan. They board their yellow submarine pirate ship and
launch into space on a mission to collect Star Juice from other stars. They plan to
harvest enough star juice to recharge their own star. Their method of collection works.
They are ecstatic. They begin to fill up a giant thermos with star juice. The problem is
that only a few drops can be squeezed out of each star. They go on a mission to
squeeze as many stars as they possibly can. But they know it may take some time to fill
the thermos.
Meanwhile, there is another vessel moving through space. An immaculately clean and
ordered spacecraft moves in purposeful patterns, carrying the Controllers. The
Controllers are busy mapping the universe, collecting space data by counting stars as a
way to map the universe.. They are quantitative, intelligent, and full of systems that are
followed precisely.
Mid count, their equipment starts reacting strangely, they observe a disruption in lumens
coming from not one, but multiple stars. They run the numbers again and receive the
same disruptive results. They are concerned that their counting system is being
disrupted, and this is troubling because it means that they would have to start all over
again. They turn on their 360 degree magnascope to observe what could be the source
of the problem. Their scanning machine tracks an unusual yellow space machine floating
clumsily through space, latching onto stars and reducing their light output. So now every
whole star could be counted as a half star. The Controllers call through space on their
Mighty Megaphone informing the pirates that they are breaking the “Common Space
Decency Act” and must stop immediately disrupting the Controllers data collection.
The Space Pirates sing back that they need to get the star juice in order to save their
star.
The controllers sing back that their star cannot be saved and they need to just get over
themselves. Pirates sing back that they will never turn their backs on their precious star
and they are not hurting the other stars, just milking them a bit.
And the controllers respond, Yes. But you are messing with our data and our counting.
Foiled. Space Pirates decide to google how to find other stars. They stumble on Star
Search. They read about a “Maximize your Star Potential” Seminar that is happening on
Earth. They contact the director of the seminar and ask if they can install an Elevator to
assist the passage of stars becoming Great Stars
Celebs gather at Maximize Potential hub. They are energized about the growth
opportunities. Celebs are pulled onto the stage one by one, they are coached for a
couple seconds and then board the special elevator to ACTUALIZE MAXIMIZE. Poof,
they disappear.
Celebs arrive in space on the Yellow Submarine, confused and a little freaked out.
The Pirates react, like what the heck? I thought we were harvesting real stars?
The celebs react and say they are Real Stars. The Pirates are like, “yeah right, you
probably don’t contain any Star Juice.” Celebs disagree and say they will prove that they
have star juice but first they need a little snack and a couple hours to rehearse
somewhere quiet so they can prove the Pirates wrong.
Celebs float over to the Black Hole Donut Cafe to rehearse. They tell the Pirates to show
up later for their star juice show.
Celebs practice, fight over material and who is going to do what, and what the
performance should actually look like.
Controllers are satisfied with everything back to normal.
Pirates sneak around the outside of the cafe hooking up hoses to the grease trap to suck
the juice from the performance. Some pirates still don’t understand how this works, but
other pirates explain how a star is a star and all stars contain light or star juice.
Pirates watch the performance. It is an impressive show of star flare.
So much Eglow!
Controllers Data levels go haywire in response to the sudden rise in star juice on their
magnetron equipment. Confused and annoyed. They feel certain that the pirates must
have something to do with the data shenanigans. They show up at the cafe to demand
answers.
Celebs are thrilled to see a greater audience but Controllers are quick to tell them that
they are not real stars and that their star juice doesn’t count. Celebs are insulted.
Meanwhile Pirates explain to everyone that they need juice to save their star and that in
fact the celebs produced three thermoses full of star juice, which proves that they are
great stars. Celebs are vindicated. However the pirates explain sadly that although they
collected all this juice, which is more than enough to save their star. They don’t know
how to administer the juice to the star in order to recharge it.
Controllers have a meeting as they realize that it is their data and science know how that
can do what is needed here. They help Pirates recharge their star by using a basic
algorithm. And agree that their star will now, once again be part of their official cosmos
count.
Pirates thank the Celebs for saving their planet. They offer them a ride out on the
elevator. In small groups celebs are able to enter the elevator and ask to go to any
destination they desire. Off they pop, once again leaping out of space via trampoline and
mattress
The pirates just want to go home to celebrate their starlight starbright.
The controllers are glad to have space return to normal. Their data makes sense and
they return to the mother ship to complete paperwork.
Everyone is happy!
