At Teaching Strategies, we know that a thorough

course will help you interpret your own program
data and help you to build a realistic, sustainable
approach to assessment for your program. Working
directly with your data and drawing upon our
knowledge of best practices, this course will offer
detailed support and strategies for translating your
data into action in your program.
THIS 1-DAY SESSION FEATURES
• guidance and insight on each Teaching Strategies GOLD report
• opportunities to use your own program data to generate reports
• support for understanding when to use different reports
• small session size to facilitate individual training for each program
• guidance on generating reports that will inform program
progress
• opportunities for small-group work with program data and
• guidance on communicating progress to teachers, families,
and legislators

This session will explore the purposes, structure, and administrator features of Teaching Strategies GOLD online, including relevant
data and reporting as well as ways to support implementation.

This session focuses specifically on the Teaching Strategies GOLD Assessment Toolkit, including the four-step assessment cycle,

The Second Step of the Assessment Cycle: Analyze and Respond
This advanced lab session, designed for experienced users of Teaching Strategies GOLD, explores in detail the second step of the fourstep assessment cycle, analyze and respond, including how to plan and individualize learning experiences based on child development
and each child in the classroom.

The Third Step of the Assessment Cycle: Evaluate
This session is designed for experienced users of Teaching Strategies GOLD. It focuses on the third step of the assessment cycle,
evaluate, so teachers will be prepared to evaluate assessment data and make accurate assessment decisions with confidence.

This session, designed for experienced users of Teaching Strategies GOLD, will explore in detail the final step of the four-step

optimizing reports and student data.
