Southern California Edison, is sponsoring a new program that provides automatic design review and high performance benchmarking for your new construction or modernization project. The program is designed to work within the existing DSA approval process to ensure that your project contains the most cost effective high performance measures available. Edison’s technical consultants will: • Review your energy model and project design • Create a report that shows how your project ranks with other similar schools and lists potential energy efficiency measures for your consideration • Meet with district and design team members to go over the recommendations The focus is on identifying practical, cost-effective measures that will be useful in meeting or exceeding current Title 24 Energy and High Performance Goals. Edison’s consultants will evaluate potential changes for their impact on energy use, budget and schedule and the report will rank the measures accordingly. Incentives to offset incremental measure cost, DSA high performance energy plan review fee and design team revision fees will also be identified. Recommendations will be presented well before scheduled back check so that district and design team can consider the value of each recommended measure and make a final determination about possible design revisions. Why Automatic Energy Review? Edison wants to encourage districts to take one last look at efficiency during the review and approval process. This is the most cost effective time to consider newer, yet proven, technologies that will save operating costs and make schools more comfortable and productive for years to come. What Do I Get From the Program?
