PLC «Gazprom» Mountain Resort
PLC «Gazprom» Mountain Resort is a year-round resort located in Krasnaya
Polyana, Esto-Sadok, Adler district, Sochi.
PLC «Gazprom» Mountain Resort includes:





«Grand Hotel Polyana» 5*, «Peak Hotel» 4*, mountain hotel «Polyana 1389» 4*,
Ski and biathlon complex «Laura»,
«Galaxy» social and cultural center,
cable way and ski trail complex,
Services for Guests – restaurants and cafes, swimming pools, sports areas,
medical centers and other.
The resort is available all year round: as a mountain resort of international
standard during a «peak season» in winter, as a wellness resort (SPA-center,
athletic-training center for sportsmen, tourist and leisure center, which includes kid’s
centers), business event (corporate events, forums, conventions) and entertaining
(concerts, festivals, sporting events) center during a «low season».
The resort began its work in January 2008; President of the Russian
Federation Vladimir Putin took part in the PLC «Gazprom» Mountain Resort
opening.
By the XXII Winter Olympic Games ski and biathlon complex «Laura» was
built on the territory of the resort. Olympic and Paralympic biathlon and skiing races,
World and Russian Championships in this sports, IWAS World Games took place
on the resort ski trails.
Ski and biathlon complex «Laura» is used as a training facility for Russian
sportsmen all year round. It is the only Russia’s ski and biathlon complex, located in
the middle altitude, which allows Russian sportsmen prepare for the International
competitions, taking place at the identical altitude abroad, «at home».
PLC «Gazprom» Mountain Resort has been a Russian national kids’
synchronous swimming competitions «Black Sea Mermaid» (477 competitors in
2015) provider in cooperation with Sporting Federations for years. In addition, a ski
sport competitions among kids (110 competitors in 2015) provider. The events take
place on the PLC «Gazprom» Mountain Resort sports grounds.
A mountain skiing infrastructure of the resort represents a cable way and ski
trail complex of international standard. 13 state-of-the-art cable ways are available,
which includes one of the longest cable ways in the world - А3 (more than 5000 m),
where one cabin has the capacity of 24 persons.
Snowboard and ski trail total length, from «green» up to «black» difficulty
level, is 23 km. 7 trails are illuminated for skiing in the evenings. Artificial snowing
system allows increasing the amount of snow significantly if required.
The resort also includes numerous service facilities – a private electric power
station of the resort, a fire station, a publishing office, a commercial kitchen and
other.
As reference:
PLC «Gazprom» Mountain Resort infrastructure facilities are located in the
Achipse river-valley and on the Psechako plat at the heights of 540 - 1600 meters
above sea level.
A total area of the resort territory is 373 hectares. The total real-time capacity
of all the resort hotels is about 2000 persons.
The asset management company LLC «Svod International» is the PLC
«Gazprom» Mountain Resort building activity investor and owner.
