Waupaca School District Wellness Team Goals and Objectives Key Points – • As we work to impact employee health and contain costs related to health, an effective employee wellness program becomes a very important component to that strategy. • First, an employee wellness program provides the opportunity to identity and reduces modifiable health risks, understanding that 70% of all health determinants are lifestyle choice related. • Ultimately these choices have profound effect on each member's quality of health and productivity one will experience. • In developing our workplace wellness program, we utilize a variety of best practice, research-based approaches to help members enact lifestyle changes to move toward a state of optimal health. • Our approaches includes an appropriate level of health awareness, education and behavior changing interventions • Overtime, at its best an employee wellness program creates a culture that promotes vitality, motivation and overall potential of its staff. • Working On Wellness VISION The School District of Waupaca will be recognized as an organization that promotes the health and well-being of all its employees and their families.
