Internal
communications
Being a nationwide Group
of companies, with many
operational sites, effective internal
communications is an integral part
of our success and our culture.
Not only is it important to share
information and updates with you,
but we also value your opinion
and feedback.
We use four main platforms
in our communication strategy,
all of which are designed to
ensure you are able to interact
with the wider business, as well
as remain informed.
18
Intranet and online
Site communications
InTouch Newsletter
Steripoint is our Group intranet, and
is home to our policies, procedures
and other function specific information.
From HR and IT to Operations and
Finance, the pages of Steripoint provide a
vast resource of valuable information.
Every site has a ‘Communications
Champion’ who acts as the interface
between the Head Office communications
team, and the teams at site level. They
help ensure that all the key messages are
communicated across the business.
InTouch is our monthly SRCL Group
newsletter, and it provides a range of
business updates and other functional
features from across SRCL Group.
Team Network is ERS Medical’s internet
forum. It is open to all employees and
sub-contractors and is the centre of our
internal communications. Everything you
need to know, you should be able to find
on here.
Each site has a team notice board, for
all important updates and notices, and
conducts regular meetings, which give
you the opportunity to ask any questions
you may have as well as learn about
updates from your line managers.
Team Network is not just about useful
information, it is your forum. It is there
for you to discuss or ask questions; be
it to a colleague in a similar role at a
different site, or a member of the senior
management team. This is a great tool for
non office-based staff to keep in touch.
We hope to develop this to be a Groupwide platform in the future.
Site and Operational managers are there
to support you in your day to day work
and will always be approachable if you
have a concern or aren’t able to find the
information you are looking for.
Alongside this we always feature any
fundraising and successes our team
members have achieved and sometimes
even include an exciting competition!
In line with our commitment to the
environment, we distribute InTouch
electronically – so make sure we have
your email address to receive it!
Employee ‘Road Shows’
Understanding what is going on at
site level is important, but we also
believe it’s useful to keep you up to date
with how the various business lines,
and indeed the Group as a whole, are
performing. Our Leadership Team is
committed to visiting every site at
least once a year. This will give you the
chance to meet members of the senior
team, have a quick company update
and ask all the questions you may want
to ask them. Details of when and where
the Road show’s will take place will
be communicated using all the above
channels.
19
