your computer

destination folder.

license.dat file in the destination
folder. (Your license number is
included in the licence.dat folder)

applications (Excel, Word,
Outlook & PowerPoint).

(Installation won’t be
successful if license.dat is
not in the same folder as the

Once the installation is "Finished", you may delete the files you saved earlier
to your Desktop (EndnoteX701UPSL10324.zip, EndnoteX7Inst.msi and
License.dat files).
You are now ready to start using the Endnote X7 Software. You will find a
shortcut to EndNote X7 under Start, All Programs, EndNote. Alternatively,

use the Endnote icon on the desktop:
Create a New Library to
add your references
1. Click on File.
2. Click on New
3. Name your new Library and select
the correct folder
4. Click on Save
