As the newly appointed team Manager for Coleg Llandrillo you have witnessed your team lose in a
number of different team sports at the UK championships. You have identified that a team analysis
needs to be implemented in order to create improvement strategies.
Tasg:
Task: 1 (P5)
Use two different methods of performance analysis on a team sports.
Guidance (P5)
You must use two different methods of assessment to analyse the performance of a selected team. You
could use objective performance data, eg. notational analysis; subjective observations such as SWOT
analysis, testing, interviews or performance profiling.

Task: 2 (P5)
Identify the strengths and areas for improvement in the selected team sport.
Guidance
Using your methods of assessment, produce a report to identify the strengths and areas for
improvement in the selected team sport. This should relate to the team’s application of skills,
techniques and tactics and physical performance.

Task: 3 (M4)
Explain the identified strengths and areas for improvement and make suggestions relating to the
development of the team.

In your report explain why you feel the strengths and areas for improvement you have identified are
important to the team. You must put forward improvement strategies. These could be goals, SMART
targets, training, courses qualifications and you should consider the possible barriers that may hinder
your development.
