Lenten Alms 2017
This year the Cardinal has asked that the
Lenten Alms collection be directed to the
Cardinal’s Appeal fund. The funds raised will
go to support parishes or groups in their work
to further the mission of the Church: to serve
the evangelisation of youth, to develop
marriage and family life projects, and to
provide service in society, especially to those
on the margins. Please take a leaflet, read
and pray about this. The second collection on
the weekend of 18th/19th March and following
weekends will be for the Cardinal’s Appeal
Lenten Alms. Envelopes available at the back
of Church. Please be as generous as you can.
PLANNED GIVING: With the end of the current
Tax year fast approaching, now is the time to
get up to date with planned giving donations.
Also would those donating by Standing Order
please make your payment date on or after
7th of the month if possible, or if you are
already making payments from 1st of the
month alter your payment to a date after 6th
of the month taking effect for the first
payment in April. However, please consider
using Standing Orders rather than envelopes
or loose plate to make your offerings as this is
the most efficient way to give, both in time
and costs, and considerably reduces the
amount of administration involved, thank you.
