CENTRAL PRIMARY CENTER Heidi Rothgeb, Principal Dear Central families, Happy May! Next week we are celebrating Teacher Appreciation Week. It is a great time to stop and thank our teachers for all their hard work, dedication and commitment to the success of our students. I know they always appreciate the notes and goodies from students as well as the treats from our PTA, Classified and office staff. It is a pleasure to work with such caring and dedicated professionals who provide enriching and engaging lessons for our students. In addition I want to appreciate our PTA. At the last general meeting our new officers for 2017-18 were elected. Cheney McGowan for President, Megan Halliburton for Vice President, Zava LeRoux for Treasurer and Courtney Cole for Secretary. Thank you SO very much to the outgoing officers who served in 2016-2017. Please consider being part of our PTA and volunteering. There are many different ways to participate for just a few hours, donating supplies or snacks for special events, or being a chair for a committee. We would love to have you join us! It is a really fun group of people who truly have the needs of our students at the heart of their work. These last six weeks of school will go fast, we have a lot of special events coming up and I really hope you have our school picnic on your calendar. It is June 9th and it is always a really fun day to have lunch with your child at school, enjoy some music and hopefully play in the sun on the playground! Warm regards, Heidi Rothgeb Principal, Central Primary Center Don’t miss our Family Learning Night with the Heritage Museum of Flight 6-7:30 p.m. on May 4 Science & Arts Academy - Summer 2017 Inspire the mind and heart through the school district’s Science & Arts Academy! Volunteer clearances are good for two years. Attendance Line Please call the attendance line at (360) 563-4602 to report an absence. This line is available 24 hours a day to leave your message. Students must be fever free for 24 hours before returning to school. This helps the spread of communicable disease. Thank you for your cooperation. Afternoon transportation changes… Please consider limiting changes to your child’s afternoon plans as it creates confusion when there are frequent changes to afternoon plans. If you need to make a change to your child’s afternoon transportation plan please send a note in the morning or call the office by 1:30. This will enable us to make sure your child’s teacher receives notification in time. Parents have the right to request information on the professional qualifications of their student's classroom teachers. Title 1 Instruction is provided by Highly Qualified Teachers and Para-educators. For additional information regarding the highly qualified criteria please contact the Snohomish School District's Teaching & Learning Services Dept.
