Quotes & Notes

Put On A Show finished second to Higher And
Higher in her elimination and will start from post
nine in the final. It was Put On A Show’s first
loss of the season.

“She has been a good filly since day one and I
am not making excuses for her; she just got
beat,” trainer Chris Ryder said. “She typically
always finishes well. She is a very professional
horse on and off the track, but she tends to be a
little cranky in the stall. She is growthy and big
and needs to fill out a bit - she should be just as
good at 3.”

Driver Jody Jamieson said, “She’s a great filly and she’s going to continue to be a great filly. She was three wide,
maybe just a little bit early coming out of the turn and paced all the way to the wire. It’s tough to get beat in this
kind of situation when you’re seven for seven and you’d like to be eight for eight, but that’s horse racing. This
mare waits for me to pull the ear plugs and then she’ll pace her heart out all the way to the wire. She just wants to
do whatever I ask her to do. She’s a spectacular filly.”

Put On A Show’s wins include the She’s A Great Lady and divisions of the International Stallion, Bluegrass and
Eternal Camnation stakes. She is a half sister to multiple stakes-winner Showherthemoney.

Ryder trained two-time Breeders Crown winning trotting mare Mystical Sunshine.

Put On A Show is the first Breeders Crown finalist for longtime owner Richard Young and newcomer Craig
Henderson. This is Henderson’s first horse.

This is Green Mountain Farms first Breeders Crown finalist.

Kentuckiana Farms General Partners, an offshoot of Kentuckiana Farms run by recent Harness Racing Hall of
Fame inductee Tom Crouch, has bred four Breeders Crown winners: Charley Barley, Grinfromeartoear, Mister
Big, and two-time champ Mystical Sunshine.

