Due: Wednesday, September 25, 2013
****15 points off per day late****
A Venn diagram is a graphic organizer that can be used to compare and contrast the
relationship between two things. It can be used to compare and contrast subjects in math,
Science, History or any other subject area. This project is a 2 part project involving Venn
diagrams and will count as a test grade.
Part I: (45 points) The students are to create a Double Venn Diagram using any math concept
they have learned. The concept can be chosen from previous math course or from Algebra I.
Requirements:
1. Must be constructed on a single sheet of paper (typing or construction paper, NO
LOOSE-LEAF) (5 points)
2. Must be properly labeled (description given in class) (6 points)
3. The Venn diagram must include 3 similarities, 5 differences (something must be in each
circle) (24 points)
4. The information must be clearly written or typed (10 points)
Part II: (55 points) The students are to create a Triple Venn Diagram using any concept.
Concepts can relate to Math, Science, Real Life History, etc (The topic must be appropriate for
school)
Requirements:
1. Must be constructed on a half size poster board (5 points)
2. Must have a title that is centered (4 points)
3. Each circle must be labeled properly (6 points)
4. The diagram must include 18 either similarities tor differences (18 points)
a. Must have at least two bullets in each part of the Venn Diagram
5. The information must be clearly written or typed (10 points)
6. The diagram should be colorful and creative (12 points)
